A pair of unusual C19th Swedish armchairs/side chairs .

They have been newly upholstered in a neutral vintage french linen which compliments the hand scraped frame work that retains slight traces of the original paint.

The back support of these chairs is a rounded oval and bordered by a deep stylised volute detail with a carved leaf and rose at the top.

This decoration is repeated below the seat and slightly splayed arms feature a trailing leaf detail.

The chairs are pretty substantial for their size and would be a statement pair for the home.
