C19th folk terracotta sponge cake moulds from the Alsace region in the form of a lamb.

Traditionally used and made to celebrate Easter the moulds were fastened together and baked upside down and the cake given as gifts.

The interior has a lovely textured brown glaze and would make a decorative display on a dresser or kitchen shelf.
