Charming framed oil on canvas of a french marina by Swedish artist Gertrude de Val dated 1936.
Painted mainly in tones of blue and green the view is out to the marina with the sea beyond from under the leafy shade of an olive tree.
The artist travelled extensively in the 1930s and amongst other institutes studied at the royal Academy in Stockholm.
