Wonderful early 19th century french cartoon painted on thick paper.
The scene is of a lake, hills and a forest view with a crane like bird in the foreground standing between two leafy tres, is painted in shades of mainly blues & green.
Very possibly given its style and subject it was likely to have been a cartoon for an Aubusson tapestry.
A great statement piece for any interior.
