A pair of C19th framed wallpaper panels showing charming vignettes of happy groups of villagers in C18th traditional dress enjoying social drinking, playing games and reading.
Typically hessian backed of the period and possibly of french manufacture the cobalt and royal blue pigments are deep and strong.
There are signs of general wear and flaking with age, however they are substantially framed and this does not detract from their scale and overall charm.
