A large decorative Swedish two sided painted wall hanging { Bonad }
It is painted in natural pigments on canvas unusually on both sides one in the c18th and the other the c19th .
Bonads - decorative wall hangings and tapestries often depicted traditional naive biblical and moral themes that were displayed in farmhouses often for special occasions.
The (late C18th) is in pale tones depicting angels in orange and blue, the other in stronger colour tones (early 19th) shows figures, horses and buildings in four sections.
